Fake Cops Pull Over Drivers, Then Real Police Show Up
On July 3, 2026, deputies in Washington State received multiple reports of two Ford Explorers conducting traffic stops along Interstate 90. Callers reported that the vehicles appeared to be impersonating law enforcement and were allegedly pulling over motorists despite not being legitimate police vehicles.
Deputies responded to the area and began investigating the reports. During the investigation, officers made contact with the individuals involved and identified one of the suspects as 21-year-old Ethan Denmark. Authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the alleged traffic stops and ultimately took Denmark into custody.
The young man was booked into the county jail on charges of unlawful imprisonment and second-degree criminal impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
