So I wrote this song in a season when I felt very far from God. Very ashamed, because of the way I was treating Him. The shame that I felt stopped me from talking to Jesus. I felt stuck. Yet my heart still needed Him and was crying out for His presence.
Praying was hard, so instead I took my guitar and started to talk to God through music. The comfort that God gave me in that moment. Made me realize that we shouldn’t be ashamed of coming to Him with our weakness, our emptiness, our past.
I discovered that there is so much power in the things we bring With Confidence to the feet of Jesus.
So what I pray for is that this song will help you to do that. And that you will not hear just my voice singing. But the Holy Spirit actually talking to you.
