This video is an appraisal of one of my Skype students, Rachel, playing Cradle Song from the 2021 2022 Grade 7 ABRSM Piano syllabus, but before I tell you what mark one might expect from a performance like this, have a listen and write in the comments below what mark YOU think it deserves.

Notes were highly accurate and a suitable tempo was chosen to capture the character of the piece. This was further enhanced by good balance between the hands and some nice dynamic shaping.
However rhythmic accuracy was sometimes lacking. There were moments of hesitation and the duplets against triplets were not always executed smoothly and evenly.
