Altra Experience Flow 3 | First run and initial thoughts
Took the new Altra Experience Flow 3 out for their first spin today! I’ve been running in the original version (V1), so jumping straight to the 3 was a pretty noticeable shift.
The biggest takeaway so far? The upper. The new engineered mesh is a massive improvement—it’s much more comfortable right out of the box and gives a way better fit than what I was used to in the 1s.
Flow 3 vs. FWD Via: I’ve also spent time in the FWD Via, but honestly, even after just one run, I’m finding the Flow 3 much more "runnable" and natural. It’s got a better flow (pun intended) and feels less clunky than the Via did for my stride.
It’s too early to give a full breakdown, but the comfort levels are definitely up. Looking forward to putting more miles on these to see how that midsole holds up.
