Re-adapting the VVB of a 2014 Chevrolet VOLT
I decided to repeat the HVAC adaptation process, as I didn't describe the procedure in detail enough in the previous video about the battery.
It's just gotten warmer, so it's time to get started!
In short:
1. Reset via MDI and GDS2 - "Module Diagnostics" - "Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2" - "Configure/Reset Functions" - "Get Function Data" - "Get Battery Capacity Data" - "Get Data".
2. Fully charge the HVAC.
3. If the ambient temperature is above 15 degrees Celsius, disconnect the charger for a couple of hours before driving. If it's below 15 degrees Celsius, leave the car plugged in until driving.
4. Remove the battery completely until the engine starts. Then drive 5-10 km on the HVAC system, turn off the car, and charge it after a couple of hours. I drove without climate control and without any sudden acceleration. Everything was smooth and measured.
5. Continue this cycle for about 10 cycles. If you haven't used up the entire battery in one go, don't recharge it; it's better to run it out the next day and test drive it with the internal combustion engine.
As you can see, my battery capacity returned to its pre-reset state.
