If a Non-Sculptor tries to sculpt Xiao [Genshin Impact Crafts]
The behind-the-scenes process of my entry for the "A Sea of Lights" fanart contest held
last Feb 2021 entitled "Sculptured Moments". Link to the entry here: https://www.hoyolab.com/genshin/artic...
Before this, I didn't have any clue how to make a polymer clay sculpture. I checked out forums, process vids, and tutorials on youtube, and just bought a basic sculpting set to get started. Pretty sure I made loads of mistakes so don't use my vid as a reference, there are better ones out there haha!
Fun fact: This 'could've' been the first ever video of this channel, but I couldn't get myself to finish editing the vid... until I realized that the raw footage took way too much space in my hard drive (350 GB???) so I decided to get this vid over with so I can delete the files haha!
Sadly this entry did not win but I found the experience really enjoyable!
Will I ever sculpt again?
Who knows...
...Now back to making another dumb Genshin parody vid lolz
