In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, Padma Shri Awardee, Editor-in-chief IJCP Publications, will talk on whether there is a science behind chanting the word OM. He says that OM is no more a religious word, it has a medical significance too. He will explain that in pain, the patient makes sound which are vowels A, E, I, O, U.
Dr. Aggarwal will further discuss that the literature says that the chanting of the vowels produces interleukin 2 which is 200 times more potent than the painkiller aspirin. He will also discuss about nasal consonants which the patient generally use during weeping. Also, chanting OM is a physical mantra for body and spiritual relaxation.
