Genshin Impact Pop-Up Chicago 2023
My cosplay music video taken at the Teyvat Goods’ Genshin Impact Pop-Up store in Wicker Park in Chicago.
As I continue practicing video some techniques I’ve been working on has been keeping my footage in focus along with switching between two cameras and lenses. The primary lens is a 35mm and an 85mm on a second camera. I realized the 85mm got me a little too close for comfort (and stability) and I should’ve went with a 50mm instead. I also need to work on controlling my ISO especially indoors where some of the shots are pretty grainy. Outside was challenging as well. The sun was harsher than expected and shaded areas were sparse. I wasn’t sure how it’d turn out but having gotten some recent advice about using ND filters while shooting video worked wonders. Lastly, I also need to work on my directing and find new, creative shots. Overall, I’m happy with my progress. HUGE thanks to the cosplayers who reached out last minute to be in the video!
