Cast 44 stitches on knitting needles and knit 10 rows in 2x2 rib pattern in the round, then knit 15 rows.
Slip 24 stitches onto waste yarn or additional knitting needles.
Knit the remaining 20 stitches in 2x2 rib pattern in the round (8 rows) and bind off with an elastic binding.
Sew the gusset, 2 stitches on each side.
Knit the second leg with a 2x2 rib pattern in the round (8 rows) and bind off with an elastic binding.
Knit the straps with chain stitches.
