At the eastern edge of the Shadow Realm lies a land everyone would rather forget. A place whose very existence threatens the celestial order of things enforced by the Horned Visitors. This sinister wilderness is called the Abyssal Forest, and its exceptionally low altitude effectively cuts it off from the rest of the Realm, and even sunlight. It's hard to say if this has always been the case. It may once have been one of the most beautiful forests in the entire land, but now it remains a pale shadow of its former glory. Only the most dedicated inquisitors of the Horned Strangers venture there to keep at bay whatever has infested it. And it was an absolutely terrifying thing. Chaos in its purest form, brewing behind the walls of an old man's estate. A fire capable of consuming not only life but also death.
