Traveling solo in Oman and visiting an expat who has started a new life here.
I'm currently traveling solo through Oman, and in the south of the country, in Salalah, I'm spending a few days with Susanne.
She recently emigrated from Germany and is giving me (and you!) an open glimpse into her new life.
What's it like to live alone as a woman in Oman?
How do you communicate without Arabic?
And what can you perhaps even learn from Omani culture?
Between mosques, mountains, and beaches, I talk with Susanne about cultural differences, safety, clothing, and her very personal new beginning as an expat in Oman.
🏝️ I'll also take you to some of the most beautiful places in Salalah: Fazayah Beach, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Wadi Darbat, and more.
