Inspiration for a multi-purpose light bar useful as an AC load and for testing LED bulbs and dimmers.
I combined ideas from two Youtube channels to make up this light bar. Knurlgnar24 has a piece of wood with 6-8 light bulb sockets that he uses as a variable AC load for testing power inverters. Electronupdate has a light dimmer mounted in an electrical box he uses to test dimming on LED bulbs. I decided to combine those two ideas to make a versatile light bar that could combine those functions and more. Inspiration for this project came from the following two Youtube channels:

I found a scrap of 5/4 wood in the garage that was just long enough to mount 4 Edison screw-in bulb sockets and an electrical box. Each socket has a small on/off switch and this lets the number of bulbs to be changed for use as an AC load. In the electrical box, any sort of in-wall switch, dimmer or Z-Wave type of controller can be installed for testing.
The light bar has an IEC socket on the front to accept a regular power plug to facilitate plugging into power for testing.
