Understanding variance
Many poker players have heard about variance, but most of them dont understand what it is.
This video will introduce you to the concept of poker variance and help you know how
important it is to come to terms with it. Poker is a game of statistical distribution: every hand
we play is at the mercy of probability. Our goal should be to make decisions that can tilt the
balance of probability in our favor and not favor opponents. However, there is always a
chance that by making right, profitable long-term decisions, we will still lose.
