Amtrak #3 - 14 hours late at Fullerton
After departing Chicago 4 hours late due to mechanical issues, resulting in the swapping of Dash-8 #504 to the consist, Amtrak #3 was further delayed in Kansas when a freight ahead of the train suffered from mechanical failure. This added 6 more hours of delay. During this delay, 504 decided to crap out on the crew. This resulted in a BNSF ES44AC being added to the point to Albuquerque, where it would swap out with 165.
All of this combined brought #3 into Fullerton at 9:00 PM, two hours after #4 had already departed. I happened to be the only one there with a camera to catch it, considering it was a cold Monday night.
