It’s a beautiful time to be alive, and it’s about to get better.
I’m about to tell you a way to supercharge your UX career.
What I’m saying is; I want to be your personal mentor this summer. You and a small group, (limited to 20), will join me in a masterclass called: Building Interactive Websites: From Design to Development. I’ll be your friend and guide through the entire experience.
My name is Travis Neilson, and currently, I’m a Lead UX Designer at YouTube. Before that I have spent the last decade of my life refining my craft and process at agencies, startups, and large companies like Google Search.
Through my YouTube channel DevTips I have taught millions of people to design and code. I still have people that come up to me at events and conferences to tell me about the ways I helped them launch their career.
I have received awards, been quoted in magazines, flown around the world giving talks and workshops, and now all this experience gets to benefit you directly.
This masterclass covers the fundamentals of UI design for interactive experiences, including UX and motion design.
I’ll be your mentor through this journey. I’ll review your work and send you feedback videos to unlock your most creative self. You will meet with me in weekly office hours to discuss the work and how to break into the industry.
I’ll be with you every step of the way through this incredible course of content designed and created by super star Niccoló Miranda.
Niccoló taps into the FUN of web design, from experimental visuals to functional story-telling.
Throughout the masterclass, participants will learn to approach design from a code perspective without actually coding, which highlights creative problem-solving and a truly optimized interface. We’ll cover principles of design such as color, typography, and composition, while prioritizing out-of-the-box thinking that allow professional designers to create successful solutions for their web design goals.
You will craft animations and prototypes for your UI designs using tools like Figma and After Effects, which will add not only to their understanding of the design process, but bolster your portfolio as well. By the end of the masterclass, you will gain an understanding of UI design for interactive experience that will allow you to bring your design ideas to life.
At the end of these 10 weeks, you’ll come away with
Full confidence with Figma as a design tool, including advanced features like prototyping and animation.
The ability to utilize AI tools to streamline the design process and improve efficiency. This is cutting edge stuff.
Ability to launch full no-code websites in Webflow
Moreover, you will come away with an expansion of your visual strategy abilities and the ability to confidently execute your ideas.
Selfishly, when I was asked to mentor this course by Awwwards, I said yes because I love teaching and connecting with other creative people. In this intimate class setting I’ll be reviewing your work each week and sending you feedback videos and encouragement along the way. I am also looking forward to our weekly QA community sessions.
