How to easily set up a static ip address in Ubuntu using the GUI(12.04)
I made this video because none of the guides i could find would show you how to set up a static ip address using the GUI. The only videos i could find were based off of the command line interface. When i tried it that way, the file i was supposed to edit did not contain any of the information i was supposed to edit. Instead of going through the trouble of figuring that out, i just used the GUI which was so much easier than doing it the command line interface way, i started to wonder why anybody would suggest using the CLI in the first place.. I am all about the CLI, but when I have a GUI for something, and it is 10 times faster, I choose the GUI.
