In this devlog, I walkthrough one of the supposedly easiest parts of game development, the main menu.

For context, my indie game Castlemancer is a roguelike deckbuilder. And throughout my game development journey, Castlemancer has gone through many iterations and many devlogs!

In previous devlogs, I've discussed building various features of Castlemancer. And throughout each devlog, I've focused mostly on the key gameplay features and loops. But this is the first devlog about the interactions that happen before the main gameplay. The main menu is the first interaction a player has with your game, and can definitely set the mood of the entire game and experience.

As a game developer, I believe its imperative that I get this part of the game dev process as best as I can.
