About the Video
Is Germany Racism free? Is Germany Nice? Are Germans Nice? Here are some of the experiences that my friends have had as a foreigner living in Germany. I think people need to have more open conversations about this because this is when change can happen. A lot of people don't want to talk about uncomfortable topics and want to ignore it, but it's so important to speak up against injustices in society and support BLM and minorities.
I am fully aware that I have white privilege and I can never understand what someone has gone through, and what it feels like to be hated for the color of your skin. But, I want to keep learning about this, stand up against this and continue to show my support.
Now, I don't want those of you who are interested in living in Germany and Moving to Germany, to get scared. As I mentioned, there is racism in EVERY single country. It's not unique to Germany. For the most part, Germany and Germans are very welcoming towards expats and foreigners but unfortunately, there is still some work to be done here - as there is in every other country. I always want to give my honest thoughts and experiences on daily life in Berlin, Germany so this is why I wanted to share this.
