Abraham Harold Maslow was a psychologist and researcher who was born in the United States and lived from 1908 to 1970.
Maslow worked for MIT and conducted extensive research on human behavior.
However, his name certainly made its mark on history with the Theory of the Hierarchy of Needs, or as we commonly call it, Maslow's Pyramid.
Making him one of the leading figures in humanistic psychology.

Maslow's pyramid is divided into five levels of human needs, and according to the psychologist, we can only reach the next level when the needs on the lower level are met.
This concept can help us understand why, at times, even though things seem to be going well in some areas of our lives, we can feel a certain discontent.
Maslow places the most important needs, the physiological ones, at the base of the pyramid.
These needs are essential for life and serve as the body's internal balance.
We can include in this group the processes of breathing, digestion, and sleep, as well as the needs for hunger, thirst, and shelter.
Because they are indispensable, their absence can make human behavior aggressive and savage, as well as generate health problems. This leads individuals to risk everything to meet these needs.
