As you start getting used to using Adobe Illustrator and other products, you may be thinking about how you can make some income from your new skills. Creating SVG files is a great way to do!
SVG files - or single vector graphics - are files that contain multiple layers of single colors that are used in programs like Cricut Design Space where people use them to create end products like t-shirts, stickers and greeting cards.
This tutorial includes three different SVGs you can create to then sell on Etsy or through Facebook. Or maybe you are a Cricutter who wants to use them to make t-shirts to sell at markets or for your family.
We use the following techniques:
Creating compound paths
Uniting with the Pathfinder tool
Copy and pasting in back
Image tracing, expanding and ungrouping
This tutorial requires you to have Adobe Illustrator. You don't need to have Cricut Design Space or any other craft machine software - you can just leave off the last bit of the tutorial where you check it all works!
