Three of Bob's beloved children and one of 4 of his beloved grandsons are visiting from Colorado and Arizona , just weeks ahead of his 85th Birthday! He is also is the proud Grandfather of four grand daughters.
Bob will soon be recognized by Governor Steve Sisolak on National Vietnam Day, March 29th 2022, and will receive a "Vietnam Pin," because he served as a Spec 4, Oklahoma National Guard, in the Infantry Division, during the years that the Vietnam War spanned. Those service men and women who served during the Era of that War, are recognized for their support of that War by serving in a position somewhere in the United States. This well-deserved recognition will comes just days after his 85th Birthday!
Robert Navin, is more than just the Co-Founder of My Angel Cafe. Due to his dedication, countless veterans and people throughout the World; to include both World and Clergy have the verse "I Saw His Face." The verse has been carried in numerous Valley Parades, read aloud at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C.'; read aloud by Pastors in Churches, and has been part of the Barbara G. Edwards 9/11 Library Monument, Palo Verde High School, Las Vegas, NV, for twenty years. Bob worked a second job; in addition to his job for 13 years at Nevada Power to pay for millions of copies, posters and letters!
His work at both Nevada Power and Penney's followed 30 Years as a Sears Auditor, a truly compelling Career and a credit to the Military People of this Country! He reflects greatly upon himself, upon his peers, upon the U.S.Army, upon selflessness to work for the Glory of Christ and upon these Great United States! I am beyond thrilled that his beautiful daughter, Amanda, Patrick, Tony and Grandson Seth are here in Las Vegas, Nevada and give a shout out to Ryan and all his grandchildren! Love from Las Vegas to each of you and your bearutiful families, Cathy
