A 100% Completion video of my most favorite arcade racing game that heavily contributed my supposed above decent driving skills in both virtual games and the real world today. This isn't just a generic flex of someone just beating Midnight Club II when many people have done so before. With the success of the original Midnight Club II full gameplay video, I've decided to do one last definitive run of Midnight Club II that displays a very unique and established way of beating this game; carefully edited with seamless loading times, smooth music transitions, slight gameplay twists, and cleaner driving. The cheat code "howhardcanitbe9" sets the game to the highest difficulty, making this game a lot more harder.
This will be the final and definitive run of Midnight Club II within the channel. I will not go out of my way to do another MC2 run in 8K / 32K / DCI 4K at a theatre. This does not mean I will stop making Midnight Club content completely. I am definitely going to post content related to Midnight Club II soon. I am currently in the process of funding in order to make such bar-raising projects happen.
If you want me to do repeat strictly gameplay runs of this game in the future, I will do them in the @notReiji channel from now on whenever I'm in the mood to do so.
Control binding in this run was difficult since this is a 2003 game trying to read a controller made in 2020. I usually assign buttons L2 and R2 to shift gears but since the game cannot detect the PS5 shoulder mappings as regular buttons, I had to use down on D-Pad to downshift and R1 to shift up. Sometimes downshifting will disable the gas pedal which explains the abrupt slow downs. The unorthodox binding layout was a disorienting yet neat challenge overall.
