Tiangong 3 Mengtian Lab Module
In this video, we are going to review and update the status of China’s Tiangong Space Station with the addition of the Mengtian Lab Module.
About eighteen months ago China launched the first module, Tianhe, of its Tiangong 3 Space Station into low earth orbit. Soon there after a cargo supply ship was launched with equipment and supplies. About a month later, a Shenzhou module with 3 taikonauts (Chinese astronauts) aboard was launched and docked successfully with Tianhe. More recently the Wengtian Lab Module, was launched and docked successfully with the Tianhe Core Module.
For the past year the Chinese Taikonauts have been updating and installing equipment on the Tianhe. China is now preparing to launch the Mengtian Laboratory Module, named “Heavenly Dream”, to rendezvous and dock with the Tianhe, thus completing the first phase of the Tiangong 3 Space Station. This launch is scheduled for October 2022.
