I arrived at the train station to pick up someone, stopped, and suddenly a taxi driver knocked on the window, complaining, "This is our spot!" I explained that I wasn't picking anyone up and was just waiting, but he pressed me further: "Get somewhere else!"

At that moment, a girl came up and asked where a taxi was. The taxi driver immediately changed his tune: "I'm a taxi," took her bag, and led her to the car. The girl told him the address—Lenin Square. He calmly announced the price: 1,000 rubles, opened the door, and she was already getting in, afraid of getting lost and "not knowing how things work here."

I couldn't stand it any longer and said, "Girl, it's only a two-three-minute ride here. You're being ripped off." The taxi driver exploded: "Why are you interfering? If you get in again, I'll break the window!"
The girl looked at him, and it became clear: the situation was incredibly awkward and unpleasant.

I offer a simple solution—a free ride. I open the door and say, "Let's go, I'll give you a ride." She replies, "Thank you!"

That's the kind of "service" you get at a train station: first threats, then a price tag out of thin air. If you've encountered something similar, let me know how you handled it.
