How to show recent posts widget with this plugin and shortcode: WAD Recent Posts
This widget is very simple and easy to use. You can limit how many posts do you want to show, what category, and what color accent do you like.
The widget shows a nice thumbnail image of the post on left, and the post title and excerpt on right.
