Egypt at Mardi Gras 2021 (Floats in the Oaks)
Happy Mardi Gras! It's been a bit different this year, but New Orleans couldn't let a Mardi Gras pass without a celebration of some sort (socially distanced, of course).
This year, instead of parades rolling down the street, we were able to roll through the park to view several of the usual parade floats. Many people also elaborately decorated their houses like Mardi Gras floats - another sight easily enjoyed on foot outdoors or from a car (it's been extremely cold for this time of year, so inside a car has been a popular option!).
I made a super-short video of the couple of ancient-Egypt-themed floats in the drive-through for you (no fancy camerawork here - there's a reason I usually animate my videos 😂)
