VirtualBox Enable USB

By default, VirtualBox has USB 1.0 enabled, and this is very limited. You cannot use modern flash drives on it, nor can you use modern usb devices, like scanners, printers, and other things. If you enable a USB device on your virtual machine, you can do a lot more. You may want to print documents on a file format that is no longer used, or you may want to connect a usb gamepad to your virtual machine. The only downsides of using a usb device is that, it can't be used on your computer. The way it works is by disabling the USB device in your computer, and enabling it in the virtual machine.

♠ Procedure
• Make sure the VirtualBox Oracle VM VirtualBox
Extension Pack version matches your version of Virtualbox.
If it doesn't match, download and install the most current
version of Virtualbox. If it doesn't match, it won't work.
• Install the VirtualBox Oracle VM VirtualBox
Extension Pack.
• Go to settings on your Virtual machine, and enable USB 2.0 or
USB 3.0.
• Start your virtual machine, and enable the USB device, and
turn off your virtual machine. Then, start it again.
