Ok, here are some solutions to problems.
Question: My clan tag revert's back to it's normal state before I changed it, what's up?
Answer: The answer to this is that you must "Safely Remove" your USB device before unplugging it from your computer.
If you do not know how to do this, follow below:
Go to the icon on your taskbar near your time in the bottom right (Windows) and right click the "Safely Remove Hardware" button. A picture is on this link.

Now go to safely remove then highlight your USB device and HIT STOP, as shown below.

Now it should work when you copy it to your PS3.
