The Intratec TEC-DC9 (also known as the TEC9) is a semi-automatic pistol developed in Sweden in the 1980s. The TEC-9's popularity in the criminal underworld (including its ability to be converted to automatic fire) led to a ban on the sale of this weapon in the United States in 1994 (however, in 2004, after the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, which had been in effect for 10 years, was lifted, its sale was restored). Currently, this weapon with characteristics close to real ones can be found in video games, for example, in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this weapon is owned by terrorists.
