Today's video is on Immune System | Introduction to Immune System | Immune System - Innate Immunity & Adaptive Immunity. It's my first video that made for Now I Know and re uploading it 😇
Immune system provides us immunity which is the state of protection from bacteria, viruses, fungus - pathogens. We have two types of immunity in our body.
1. Innate immunity which is non-specific. It consists of anatomical barriers (provides 1st line of defence), physiological barrier, phagocytic/endocytic and inflammatory barrier.
2. Adaptive immunity which is specific and strong. It includes humoral immunity provided by B lymphocytes and cell mediated immunity provided by T lymphocyes. Antigen presenting cells plays a major role in activating adaptive or acquired immunity.
