Cool Drum Lick #36
This is one of my favourite drum licks, it has a real power behind it and has been put to good use by such drummers as Travis Barker, Abe Cunningham, Josh Freese, Bonham and Grohl etc... It works really well in a half time groove and adds some real tension as it really emphasises the 1/4 notes. When practicing, make sure that all the notes have clarity and purpose as it can sound a bit messy if not played cleanly. Either way, Im sure you can have some fun with it.
