Raptoreum Core Wallet sync issues? I'll help you get it running again with an update and bootstrap!
In this video I show you my Raptoreum Core wallet syncing issues, detail a proposed update path for you to follow and execute that path on my system.
Apologies that all links are not fully specified with the web prefix but YouTube no longer allows links in descriptions.
Update Path - (All at your own risk, I will not be held responsible for any loss you incur following these instructions). Do your own reserach first and make sure you are comfortable with the procedure before you decide to continue.
1. Locate your installation of the Raptoreum wallet (in Windows usually in your appdata folder - something like -
C:\Users\[Computer Name]\AppData\Roaming\RaptoreumCore
or try Local if not present in Roaming.
2. Backup the 'Wallet' folder somewhere safe.
3. Proceed to - raptoreum.com/sample-page/downloads/ and click the button to get the wallet. This takes you to this page - github.com/Raptor3um/raptoreum/releases where you can scroll down to see the updates for this new version 1.3.17.02 for the various operating systems. Download your required version and install it. Windows will give you a warning and you have to click the 'More' link to be able to override it.
4. Go to the Bootstrap page - bootstrap.raptoreum.com and download the bootstrap.zip folder to your machine. This takes around 5 to 8 minutes to download on a fast connection.
You can verify the bootstrap files by following the instructions here - docs.raptoreum.com/raptoreum-docs/raptoreumcore-other/bootstrap/ if you so wish.
5. Go to your installation folder and delete the following folders and files -
blocks
chainstate
evodb
llmq
powcache.dat file (if it exists)
6. Open the bootstrap.zip archive and copy the files that you deleted above back into your installation folder.
7. Start your wallet and check that it is connecting to peers and that the sync is now happening.
