Ranking Koven - Higher Ground (Part 2) EP
Ever since Koven began their run with their "Higher Ground" project, I was curious to hear where they would go with it, and even though I prefer the first EP over this newest one, I found myself enjoying most of the songs on show here. Most of it isn't really anything super special from the duo, but there are a couple tracks that stand out as...well, first off NOT DnB, and secondly some of the better music I think they've released as of the past year or so. It's not perfect and there are definitely some songs on here that I wish they would've either cut or just spend more time on. Overall though, it's not a bad EP. I'm calling it sometime in the future that they'll eventually combine the two EPs to make a "Higher Ground" album or something and it'll just be to sell vinyls. We'll see how it that turns out, but in the meantime check this one out if you want!
