Today I will show you,
How to Weighted Average in Microsoft Excel

To calculate a weighted average in Microsoft Excel, you can use the SUMPRODUCT function, which multiplies two or more sets of values and then adds the results together. Here's how to do it:

First, ensure that you have two columns of data in your Excel worksheet: one column with the values you want to average, and another column with the corresponding weights.

In a third column, create a formula that multiplies each value by weight. For example, if your values are in column A and your weights are in column B, you could use the formula =A1*B1 in cell C1.

Copy this formula down the entire column to apply it to all the data rows.

Finally, calculate the weighted average by using the SUMPRODUCT function. In a new cell, enter the formula =SUMPRODUCT(C1:C10)/SUM(B1:B10), where C1:C10 is the range of values you calculated in step 2, and B1:B10 is the range of weights. This formula multiplies each value by its weight, adds up the results, and divides by the total weight.

Press Enter to complete the formula, and the weighted average will be displayed in the cell.

Note that if you have more than two columns of data, you can still use the SUMPRODUCT function to calculate a weighted average. Simply include additional ranges of values and weights in the formula, separated by commas. For example, the formula =SUMPRODUCT(A1:A10, B1:B10, C1:C10)/SUM(B1:B10, C1:C10, D1:D10) would calculate the weighted average of values in column A, column B, and column C, with weights in columns B, C, and D.
