German DJ and live act David Hasert is the founder of LIKE Records. His low-key but atmospheric sound fuses deepness, dub and house music into captivating basement sounds. For this one, he links with fellow Cologne-based LIKE artist and sometime collaborator Minoas Cirillo.
Their 'Break Silent' (Extended Club Mix) is a brilliant mix of well-crafted breakbeats and icy hi hats. It's an atmospheric tune with warm pads, rising chords and an emotive male vocal full of dusty soul and real feeling. Thomas Gandey aka Caged Baby is a prolific underground presence who has finely tuned his expressive minimal sound over the years on a wide range of influential labels.
