Pickled vegetables for the winter "Summer in a Jar." A winter vegetable assortment. Winter preparations.
We will need the following vegetables for 2-liter jars:
Cucumbers – 6-7
Cherry tomatoes – 250 g
Carrots – 0.5
Zucchini – 1
Cauliflower – 8-10 florets
Bell pepper – 1
Onion – 1
Garlic – 4 cloves
Allspice – 8 peas
Bay leaf – 2
Marinade:
Water – 1 liter
Salt – 30 g (1 heaping tablespoon)
Sugar – 75 g (3 heaping tablespoons)
Mustard seeds – 2 tsp
9% vinegar - 4 tbsp (60 ml)
For your information: if you're used to measuring in spoons:
A tablespoon—meaning a standard tablespoon, 7 cm long and 4 cm wide—holds 20 g (flat) or 25 g (heaped) of granulated sugar.
A level tablespoon of salt contains 20 grams, a heaped tablespoon contains 30 grams.
