Need to save your Figma file? Good news—Figma automatically saves your work to the cloud in real-time. There’s no need to press Ctrl plus S or Cmd plus S. Just stay logged in, and your progress is always safe.
To check if your file is saved, look for the All changes saved message at the top of your screen. For extra peace of mind, you can duplicate your file for backup by right-clicking it in your dashboard or using File then Save a copy.
If you want a local file, go to File then Save local copy to download your design as a .fig file. You can later re-import this file into Figma if needed.
Access previous versions anytime by going to File then Show version history, where you can view and restore earlier saves.
Figma’s auto-save and version history make it easy to keep your work safe and accessible from anywhere.
