4th International Folklore Festival - Veles

The long tradition of the cares for Macedonian folklore animates the culture workers of Veles to found the international Festival of folklore „Veles". The first edition of the festival is realised in 2004 with the participation of the folklore ensembles of Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bulgaria. The festival attracts the interest of the public by the rich colours in the folklore of the peoples and the beauty of the popular music that the folklore ensembles presented to the several locations in the city. The parade of the participants on the streets of Veles, attract an exceptional interest.
In this year foreign folklore groups participated from Turkey, Romania, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Serbia besides the five Macedonian folklore dance groups in Veles, Republic of Macedonia.
