I decided to make a diorama based on the cult anime "Porco Rosso" by the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki.
This time I did not use a ready-made kit made of plastic, but completely printed the Savoia S.21F seaplane at a scale of 1:72. The aircraft parts were cut and prepared in AutoDesk Fusion 360. The printing was carried out on the Anycubic Photon S photopolymer printer with a print step of 50 microns.
For greater realism, I used a scriber to highlight the joining and detailing of the aircraft, and with a reviter, with a 1mm step, I applied riveting all over the fuselage.
I made a diorama for this model based on the plot of the opening cutscene with the hidden bay of Porco Rosso. Where he hides his seaplane and sunbaths.
The base of the diorama was made of plywood and expanded polystyrene; sand from sand, and water from epoxy.
