The game takes place in 18th-century North America from 1752 to 1761 during the Seven Years' War, between the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed III. Like Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, the game will feature naval battles, and the protagonist will have his own ship, the Morrigan. Characters from previous games, such as Haytham Kenway, Achilles Davenport, and Adéwalé, have also been confirmed to appear. The game will be set in the North Atlantic, the Great Appalachian Valley, and New York City.
