A convincing sky swap starts before you even open the tool: the sky lights the ground, so your replacement needs to match the shadow direction and quality already in your photo. This tutorial covers choosing the right sky, then dialing in Photoshop's built-in Sky Replacement feature.

THE STEPS
1. Study your existing shadows to figure out the direction and softness of your light
2. Choose a replacement sky whose light matches those shadows
3. Go to Edit, then Sky Replacement
4. Refine the sky's edge so it blends naturally with the horizon
5. Adjust Foreground Lighting and Foreground Color so the ground matches the new sky
6. Output the result as separate layers so you can fine-tune afterward
