Carvell's story - Come As You Are
City kid, village kid: Caught between two worlds, Carvell Shade never felt like he fit in—until he met the friends who introduced him to drugs. When he sought treatment at CITC, he discovered that community is the opposite of addiction.
Now, as the nutrition coordinator at CITC's Ernie Turner Center residential treatment center, Carvell shares his culture and his experience to connect with others on their sobriety journey.
