TEXT INSTRUCTIONS AND MORE!
By the way! Don't bother with the 'Enable Null Frames' option! It can save a bit of disk space - but it isn't worth it. The game runs and records WAY BETTER if you leave it disabled. I only just noticed this the other day while playing around with my settings. =O

CHANGE DXTORY'S VIDEO CODEC
Install the Lagarith Lossless Codec. (Link above)
You may need to restart after installing the codec.
Open up Dxtory and head over to the video tab. In the drop-down list, change your codec to Lagarith Lossless Codec - and then click on the configure button.
My settings in the configuration panel are Enable Null Frames and Use Multithreading ticked - and the mode set to YV12. (However, if you want your game to play a lot faster, make sure Enable Null Frames is DISABLED!)
CONVERT DXTORY VIDEO FOOTAGE
Download VirtualDub (Link above) and run the correct executable for your PC architecture. (Example, 32bit, 64bit)
Open up VirtualDub - click on Video and then 'Normal Recompress'
Click on Video again, click on 'Compression' and from the list choose Lagarith Lossless Codec.
Click the configure button - and choose the settings you used in Dxtory.
Click okay on both those dialogs.
Go to File, Queue Batch Operation, and Batch Wizard.
Choose the location you want converted files to be saved.
Drag the footage you want converted from Windows Explorer onto the blank list area in the VirtualDub Batch Wizard.
Press 'Add to Queue' and Re-Save as AVI, then click Ok
To start the queue, click on File, then Job Control, and then press start.
