The reasoning is that Gutenberg will provides features similar to those that PageBuilders provide, natively. Gutenberg will be baked right into the WordPress Core meaning that every site will automatically include the New Editor which is replacing the TinyMCE Editor we've used for years.
While I do believe that some smaller Page Builders will be impacted, The larger, more popular Page Builders like Elementor, Divi & BeaverBuilder will continue to thrive due to their current usage, adoption, community of supporters and developers who are working to ensure that their solution stays relevant.
WordPress is continuously evolving and now powers well over 30% of the modern web.
