Now I will explain my approach to making garage doors so that you understand what I was starting from and why I used certain materials.
My task was to make the gate from what was available (mostly) and add 15 centimeters to the opening so that a compressor with a lathe would fit in it.
Considering that the gate should be insulated, I began to calculate the thickness of the prof. pipes so that the frame could accommodate 5-piece foam, corrugated sheet and plywood.
I chose corrugated sheet with plywood only because they cost me $ 30, and the same steel in 2-3 mm - $ 100-150. Plywood is 15 mm thick and it is cut because I bought it in this form at a flea market 3 times cheaper than the market price.
The whole sandwich consists of corrugated sheet, plywood, then I put old 0.5 mm galvanized sheets for greater confidence, then 50 mm insulation (penoplex) and the last decorative layer of 8 mm MDF.
In general, this is not even MDF, but a denser plate that is used in the production of laminate, it is covered with a film for wood, milled, well, and I also bought it at a flea market for $ 1 per sq.m.

The gate was extended using a 14 cm wide channel, which I got for free from relatives, since it was intended for building a summer house, but was not used)
As for the total cost of the gate, it was about $ 150, and if I made them from a 3 mm thick steel sheet, then for this money I would have received only 2 sheets and that's it) So the savings are obvious, but it took quite a lot of effort and if I did not have cheap and free material, then most likely I would have welded them from a 2 mm thick sheet and a 50x25 profile pipe.
Well, as for the noise insulation, it's awesome, since the wood and insulation absorb sound well and you can hardly hear cars passing on the highway now)
As for the central lock, it is now connected to a 12V 10A power supply, I tried 5A and it is not enough, the lock is glitching, so it is better to take it with a reserve. Also, a battery charger from China is coming. This is so that if the power goes out in the garage, the lock is powered by the battery, and before the power goes out, it is always on charge.
