HADE3D Parallel Full Wave Electromagnetic Solver - the movie visualizes the scattering of a transverse-electric-magnetic (TEM), aka. plane, wave off a dielectric microlens. The TEM wave that illuminates the microlens impinges from the left side. HADES 3D calculates the electric field distribution in a spherical computational domain. The field is samples on two cut planes which are orthogonal (horizontal plane) and parallel (vertical plane) to the micro lens. The focal region of the microlens is observed toward the right border of the visualization. The microlens configuration was analyzed at a wavelength of 632 nm, using a Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method in the frequency domain.
