TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!,,i had a hard time getting this going but so far its up and running,make sure you have your login not set to automatic,Install ccsm and if your want compiz plugins extra's install that to,if it dies login to classic w/o FX or maybe unity go to your ccsm/preferences and reset to defaults..
or run this in the terminal
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/compiz-1
and then this
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/compizconfig-1
