A visual comparison: the heavy piston VAZ 2110 versus the lightweight VAZ 21116
I compared the heavy-duty 2110 piston engine with the lightweight 21116 (Granta) for 8-valve front-wheel drive engines. I showed the differences across all components (pistons, connecting rods, piston pins, connecting rod bearings, piston rings, and retaining rings), and also measured the weight difference.
