The Hard-drive is located on the rear left end of the PS4 slim. If you hear a clicking or ticking noise from there, your hard drive is going out ( my guess is due to heat damage).
You can remove the hard drive to cool it down faster but the console itself should cool down as well.
If your hard drive is already to messed up, it won’t work and you will need to replace it.
Also, leave a like and subscribe, I don’t usually do fixes but it was a problem that I just figured out with my PS4.
