Ernest's Family Album - Laser Time Commentary
By 1983, Jim Varney - as Ernest P. Worrell - was practically a household name. Regional commercials ran in markets across the US, making Jim a star - but what could he and director John Cherry do outside of a 30-second promotion?
The answer is the Family Album special, which allowed Jim to portray numerous characters from Ernest's past. This predates Ernest Goes to Camp by about four years, but was far less popular and remains fairly obscure.
